the photographer's Federal Art Project 'Changing New York' and caption stamps, with title, date, and annotations in pencil, on the reverse, 1938 (Yochelson, Middle West Side, pl. 33)
Condition
This photograph, on double-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. A few deposits of original retouching are visible only when viewing the print in raking light. Silvering is visible in the black margin edges. In the margin corners, there are 4 small clamp impressions. The tips of the margin corners are bumped, and the upper paper-ply is folded back.
The reverse of the print is appropriately age-darkened at its periphery, and it is lightly soiled. On the reverse of the print, the 'Changing New York' stamp is annotated in colored pencil with the following information:

Neg. # '283-A'
