- 'PHOTOGRAPHS & ETCHINGS'
- Portfolio of gelatin silver prints and etchings
(London: Petersburg Press, 1969, a total edition of 90), a portfolio of 16 diptychs by Lee Friedlander and Jim Dine on sheets of heavy wove paper, each signed by both artists and editioned '11/75' in pencil on the sheet; together with etched title, colophon, and statement by Dine, accompanied by a photographic portrait of the two artists by Friedlander, 1969. Oversize oblong folio, black pebble cloth box, blindstamped
Condition
This portfolio was produced in an edition of 75 numbered copies, with 15 additional artists proofs. The colophon indicates that the photographs were printed by Friedlander between February and March 1969 and that the etchings were printed between July and August 1969.
This portfolio is in generally excellent condition. The photographs and etchings are on heavy wove paper with a deckled edge, which is somewhat wavy. There is very occasional edge wear and faint silvering on some of the photographs.
The front matter is clean and crisp. The oversize portfolio case is in essentially excellent condition, with no significant signs of wear.
