Condition

This photograph, on heavy double-weight paper with a glossy surface, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, various scuffs, superficial scratches, signs of handling, and deposits of original retouching are visible. On the reverse, the following is written in an unidentified hand: '385-B/14-X' [in orange crayon]; 'A' [in green crayon]; '16/20-V' [in pencil]. The reverse of the photograph is tipped along its lower edge only to a heavy paper mount, which is darkened with age. There is a small sticker, with '38' printed, on the lower left mount corner. On the reverse of the mount, '385-B/14-X' and 'RM' [circled] are written in an unidentified hand in orange crayon.
