- Ensemble de quinze grandes pièces d'échecs en argent, vermeil et ivoire en forme de chevaliers, la majorité par Neresheimer, Hanau, vers 1900
- silver - silver gilt - enamel & ivory
comprenant 9 chevaliers à pied tenant soit une épée soit un bouclier soit une hallebarde (23 à 27 cm), 1 roi (30 cm), 1 reine (27 cm) et 1 chevalier serti de pierres de couleur (haut. 29 cm), un chevalier à pied plus grand (36,5 cm) et 2 cavaliers sertis de pierres de couleur (31 cm, long. 34 cm)
Condition
- The 2 parcel-gilt riding knights in overall good condition - marked on foot rim - each plinth insert with 2 different coats of arms - the horses insert with colored glass cabochon
- The king and the queen in overall good condition -pierced plinths - marked on footrims together with English import marks
- the 2 largest knighst in overall good condition, one insert with colored glass cabochon on belt and pierced plinths --helmet partly movable, feathers on helmet probably missing -the other one in overall good condition , both marked on footrim together with English import marks
- for the others, marked on pierced plinth footrim - some helmets to be correctly re fixed - one with the movable part of the helmet missing (wire) all with English import marks
