rectangulaire, le couvercle, la bâte et le dessous à décor en feuille d'argent de paysans ivres sis au milieu de ruines sur un fond de nacre colorée vert, l'intérieur doublé d'une feuille dorée à motifs estampés, poinçon de maître illisible, charge et décharge de Jean-Jacques Prévost 

rectangular, the lid, sides and base decorated in raised silver foil with drunken peasants amid ruins against a ground of mother-of-pearl on green colouring, the interior lined with patterned stamped gilt foil, maker's mark illegible, charge and discharge marks of Jean-Jacques Prevost

Condition

scrapes, cracks and restoration to mother-of-pearl, but the general effect is very pleasing.
