le premier en or et cornaline, décoré de chaque côté de la fable du Renard et de la Cigogne, le dessous formant un sceau, fermoir à chaîne posterieur, Angleterre ou Allemagne, vers 1740, 7cm, 2 3/4 in ; le second, en malachite, les montures, capuchon et couvercle en or gravés de rinceaux, apparemment non poinçonné, milieu du XIXe siècle, 4,7 cm ; 1 7/8 in ; l'étui en jaspe sanguin et les montures à cage en or ciselées de rinceaux peuplés de créatures marines, le poussoir en diamant taillé en rose, fin du XIXe siècle, poinçon de contrôle tête d'aigle, 9 cm, 3 5/8 in

the first in gold and cornelian, applied on each side in gold with the Fable of the Fox and Crane, the base forming a seal, later chained stopper, English or German, circa 1740, 7 cm ; 2 3/4 in ; the second, of malachite, with scroll engraved gold mounts and hinged cap and stopper, apparently unmarked, mid-19th century, 4.7cm, 1 7/8 in ; the bloodtsone etui with gold cage work mounts chased with scrolls inhabited by sea creatures, rose diamond button, late 19th century, French eagle head control mark, 9cm, 3 5/8 in

Condition

1st: as mentionned in text, the bird stopper mount and chain are modern additions, the gold mounts would benefit from professional cleaning. On one side at the very top, the mounts is becoming detached where a later bird has been added. 2nd: condition is very good 3rd: no interior fitting, excellent condition.
