la première, émaillée de rouge translucide, à décor de paillons sur un fond guilloché, les bordures en or de deux tons ciselées de feuilles d'acanthe, poinçons effacés mais probablement Hanau, fin du XVIIIe siècle ; la seconde ornée d'une plaque peinte en émail de Suisse, représentant Cupidon inspirant une jeune demoiselle, le dessous orné d'un décor en tailles d'épargne turquoises et rouges représentant des urnes et des volutes, poinçons de prestige, milieu du XIXe siècle
the first, enamelled in transluscent red, with paillons ornament over patterned engine-turning, the two-colour gold borders chased with acanthus, marks rubbed but probably Hanau, late 18th century; the other inset with a Swiss enamel plaque, painted with Cupid's inspiration, the ground decorated in turquoise and scarlet taille d'épargne with urns and inhabited scrolls, prestige marks, mid-19th century

first: red enamel has been lacquered, second in good condition but would benefit from professional cleaning.
