the vanity case, double opening, decorated with a pattern of linked crosses within fringed borders, applied rose diamond thumbpieces, inscribed Cartier London, numbered 381, maker's mark ; the compact of red gold, the lid, with sunray engraving springing from the thumbpiece applied in high relief with sapphire-set stylised bluebells, lid mirror-lined, maker's mark apparently MC in a vertical lozenge, numbered 147

both in good condition, although 1st one is lacking mirror inside lid.
