La lettre de présentation accompagnant la tabatière, datée du 28 mars 1844, fut écrite par le secrétaire privé de Carlo Alberto, Roi de Sardaigne, pour prier le poète Antonio Lissoni de bien vouloir accepter cette tabatière décorée de la vue du palais Castello di Polenzo en hommage à son oeuvre historique et philologique;
par descendance et vendue chez Sotheby's Genève, 18 mai 1995, lot 57

The letter of presentation accompanying the snuff box, dated 28 March 1844, from the private secretary of Carlo Alberto, King of Sardinia, begs the poet Antonio Lissoni to accept the box decorated with a vew of the royal Castello di Polenzo in homage to his various historical and philological works;
