- long. 10 cm, 617 g ; 3 3/4 in, 19oz 16dwt
ovale, la première à terrasse à bord godronné, les supports en forme de cygnes, l'intérieur doré, estampée Biennais sous la terrasse, la seconde à bord ciselé de feuilles d'eau, estampée Puiforcat et 925 sous la terrasse, la prise présentant une légère différence dans l'anneau

Catalogue Note
Une paire de salières identiques provenant de la collection Victor Puiforcat, puis celle de Stavros Niarchos, aujourd'hui au musée du Louvre, est illustrée dans l'ouvrage d'Anne Dion-Tennenbaum, l'orfèvre de Napoléon Martin-Guillaume Biennais, p. 77. Il est intéressant de noter que ces salières du Louvre ont une terrasse identique à celle de Puiforcat et non à celle de Biennais présentée ici.
