Condition

Single wood panel is uncradled and flat. paint surface has been abraded throughout much of the composition, especially the background areas. foreground figures are a bit better preserved though there are still scattered thinnesses in these areas as well. some tiny areas of lifting at center of composition which appear to be stable, but are slightly raised. under UV light, the old varnish fluoresces unevenly making it very difficult to read. there are some more recent small retouches here and there on top of the old varnish, but it is impossible to see underneath old varnish. offered in an elaborately carved and gilt wood frame with velvet liner.
