Painting has been very thinly relined. background landscape, sky and foliage are slighlty pressed; the figure of the putto is nicely preserved and overall the composition reads well. examination under UV light reveals scattered retouching along left side, and some to address possible old tears or creases at lower left corner. others can be seen in sky, along top edge, over a possible small repaired horizontal tear in foliage, at middle right edge, and lower right corner. the flesh tones of putto have very small retouches here and there, and there is an area on wing over a possible repaired vertical tear. all of these restorations have been well applied and there is no need for further work. Offered in an elaborately carved and gilt wood frame.
