Condition

Relined and under an extremely dirty and dull old varnish. the paint surface has been pressed in the relining process. with the naked eye, one can see an old repaired vertical tear at left side. another possible old repair or reworking in area above head of kneeling figure at far right. under UV: it is impossible to see anything under the old dirty varnish. this painting has not been attended to in a very long time and would benefit from a cleaning and sensitive restoration. Offered in a plain wood frame with gilding at inner rim.
