Condition
With full margins (a deckle at each side), in generally good condition, uneven paper discoloration, the plate tone slightly retouched in a few spots near the centre, two short repaired tears at centre of lower and right edges of sheet (measuring 10mm and 15mm respectively), a small fox mark at centre of upper edge (in the margin and away from the image), other lesser defects, framed.

Catalogue Note
Fox is George Braque’s largest cubist print. The title derives from the inscription visible in the upper right and was the name of the bar in Paris, near Gare Saint-Lazare, where the poet Apollinaire and his painter friends used to meet.
