Woodcut, circa 1503, from The Life of the Virgin, a very good impression, a proof before the Latin text edition of 1511, on paper with a Bull's Head watermark (M. 62)
Condition
Trimmed just outside or to the borderline, a small pale brown stain at lower right, two small fox marks above the Virgin and below the angel, minor repairs at lower left corner and centre of lower edge with pen and ink, a soft horizontal central fold and a short vertical one at lower left (mainly visible verso), otherwise in good condition, unframed.
