- Eight religious subjects including the early life of Christ
All gouache on vellum
Condition
Laid down on cardboard, each within a gold border. Generally colors are fresh and vibrant, there are some losses of pigment and oxidisation. The colors are more subtle in reality and are not as harsh as the catalogue images. Some of the gouaches are heightened with gold. All eight are mounted together in a modern mount.
