The colour of the original is slightly more yellow in tone than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The canvas has a firm relining which has somewhat flattened the paint surface which is otherwise secure under a slightly yellowed varnish. Inspection under UV light is impeded by the aforementioned varnish although some scattered minor retouchings do fluoresce. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame in good condition with a handful if minor scattered losses in the gilt.
