Condition

The catalogue illustration is representative. The canvas has an old relining which is still effective. The paint surface is a little dirty and under a discoloured varnish but is secure and appears to the naked eye to be in good and fresh condition. No major damages are apparent thoguh some frame abrasion in the sky upper centre and some wear in the sky can be seen. Inspection under UV light confirms the above. The painting should clean well. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame with some losses but which is structurally sound.
