Condition
The canvas has an old join running horizontally across the painting a third of the way up from the bottom edge. The paint surface is secure and in good condition under an even varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals retouching along the aforementioned canvas join and scattered elsewhere most notably in the darks of the background.
Offered in stained wooden frame with a gilt inset in good condition.
