Condition
The support is stable and the paint surface is secure, if a little thin in some areas. The gilding has rubbed in patches and inspection under UV light reveals some scattered retouchings, most notably along the line of the horizontal panel split running along the lower margin, visible in the catalogue illustration. The frame is a little rubbed and has some minor knocks but it otherwise, structurally, is in good condition.

Catalogue Note
We are grateful to Professor Antoni Jose Pitarch for suggesting that this is a work executed in the circle of Gonçal Peris in Valencia, following inspection of the original. He suggests a date of execution ca. 1410-20.
