Condition

The paintings are warmer in tone than the catalogue illustrations suggest, and are offered in thin slip frames. The canvases have late 20th-century relinings which are a little stiff but which have not adversely affected the paint surface whose impasto is quite well preserved under a slightly yellowed and shiny varnish. No major damage is apparent to the naked eye though some of the darker tones are slightly sunken. UV light confirms that the condition is quite good.
