Catalogue Note

Just as his father and teacher Domenico (1728-1800) had done before him, Pedrini worked in the style of the Gandolfi family, the dominant artistic personalities of eighteenth-century Bologna, whose influence is inescapable in the present work.

The attribution to Pedrini was first proposed by Dott.ssa Donatelli Biagi Maino (written communication with the present owner).
