Condition

The stable support, bevelled on all four edges, consists of three vertical panels. The panel joins have been reinforced at a later date on the reverse, on the left with a canvas strip and on the right with a wooden baton. The paint surface is secure and generally in good condition with the details well preserved under an even varnish. Old retouching work is visible to the naked eye along the left hand panel join and at the top of the right hand join and this is confirmed under UV light which also reveals scattered minor, old retouching work elsewhere. Offered in a stained wooden northern style frame in good condition.
