Catalogue Note

Another drawn version of the same composition is in the Galleria Regionale della Sicilia, Palermo.1  It has not been possible to connect these drawings to any surviving work by Novelli but similarities have been pointed out with his Coronation of the Virgin, for the Oratorio del Rosario, Palermo, of circa 1630.
