Condition
Laid down. A number of losses throughout the sheet. This is evident at the right margin where there are several holes in the sheet, also at the lower left margin and in the centre of the sheet. The pen and ink and wash and red chalk remain strong and fresh.

Catalogue Note
Drawings by Pollini are easily identifiable for their very distinctive pen work and characteristic use of wash and facial types.1 In his long career, he was also active as a miniaturist (see also lot 22).
