Condition
Light brown line, from old mount, around all four sides, c. 5mm in from edge. One or two very minor marks. Paper slightly thin in both top corners. Otherwise good fresh conditino. Sold in a modern dark wood frame.

Catalogue Note
The use of blue paper is rare in Schouman's work, but the lively, free handling seems otherwise characteristic of the artist's more spontaneous studies, in which he seems to observe real creatures, rather than present them as scientific specimens.
