Condition

Oil on canvas, not lined, with original cardboard protective backing from Ing.S. & F.Sovove, Prague. Surface in generally good condition aside from fine craquelure, faint stretcher bar mark, dirty varnish. Some paint loss and attendant paint flaking along right edge and right corner. Also small spot of paint loss along right edge of lone tree at right. Under UV light: thick, opaque varnish, selectively cleaned around horses and figures. A few spots of repaint along stretcher bar mark at left and lower right corner.
