Condition

Oil on canvas, lined. The paint surface is somewhat thinly applied, with some abrasion in the darks and backgrounds. There is a line of repair approximately 2 inches from the top edge that is visible to the naked eye. Under UV light, there is a green fluorescing varnish. There is some inpainting visible in the sitter's cheeks, neck and chest over the varnish as well as some scattered areas of inpainting in the background.
