Oil on panel. The panel is slightly bent along the right edge, more so at the bottom right corner. There is old canvas that has been adhered to the back of the panel. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from a very fine stable web of mostly vertical craquelure. Under UV light, an older generation of inpainting is visible scattered in the background. There is some inpaint to address craquelure in the sitter's face and neck and there are some pigments around the outline of her face that fluoresce under UV.
