Condition

Oil on canvas, unframed. The work has a very old lining and is beginning to come loose of the stretcher. There is a large almost rectangular tear in the lower left corner as well as a 4 inch vertical tear and a small L-shaped tear. Additional tears with associated losses in the upper left quadrant and near the standing figure in blue at lower center. Very dirty yellow varnish. Vertical canvas seam or fold line apparent near the center of the composition. Abrasions at all four edges up to 3 inches into the composition. Area at the bottom of central monument is abraded with white varnish marks.
