Condition
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of a previous cleaning which appears as a brighter circular area with a satin sheen 7 inches wide and approximately 35 inches from the right edge and 30 inches from the top edge. Both side edges are painted, and there is significant craquelure 48 inches from the top on both side edges. There also appears to be several minor scattered surface abrasions along the bottom of the canvas, including a diagonal line 6 inches long, approximately 21 inches from the bottom edge and 32 inches from the left edge. There is also a smaller abrasion 1 inch wide which is 41 inches from the left edge and 23 inches from the bottom edge. The bottom half of the canvas appears as though it could benefit from a surface cleaning. Under ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration except for the previously mentioned area of cleaning. There are minor spots of adhesive residue which appear under ultraviolet light along both the left and right edges. Unframed.
