Condition

This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling to the edges and corners, resulting in hairline craquelure, flaking and paint loss at the extreme edges. Close inspection reveals some scattered areas of hairline craquelure in the areas of dark green paint. There are faint stretcher bar impressions along the sides and in the center, which are visible under raking light. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is evidence of retouching intermittently along the sides of the canvas, two spots in the right of the orange flower and a few minor spots in the dark green. There are also several scattered spots on the right side of the orange flower that fluoresce brightly under UV but do not appear to be the result of retouching. Framed. *Please note the auction begins at 9:30 am on November 14th.*
