Condition
This work is in good condition overall. The sheet has yellowed with age and there is evidence of matte burn to the sheet underneath the matte. There is a media accretion near the heel of the shoe that appears to be inherent to the artist's working method. The gold leaf has flakes in areas on the shoe, the silver foil has lifted in several spots and one of the silver flowers towards the toe of the shoe has come off, as is visible in the catalogue illustration. There are scattered pinpoint accretions and a 2 ½ inch crease along the right edge of the sheet. The sheet is cornered into the matte. Framed under Plexiglas.
*Please note the auction begins at 9:30 am on November 14th.*
