First edition. A substantial and comprehensive bibliographical guide encompassing seventeenth-century scholarship by the protestant Nîmes lawyer Teissier (1632-1715). Forced to leave France after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, he settled in Zurich for a while and finally reached Berlin where he became historiographer to the Elector of Brandenburg.
