comprising the complete parts, for soprano, alto, tenor, bass and organ, notated in brown ink on up to ten single-stave systems per page, the text of the first response commencing "Sicut ovis ad occisionem ductus est", the title to upper wrapper also apparently in Lang's hand ("Responsoria. in Sabbato Sancto. à 4 Voci...Di Giov: Michele Haydn. Salzburg: 4 April. 1778.")
8, 8, 8, 8, 7, 1 (upper wrapper) pages, 4to (c.30 x 21.8cm), 10-stave paper, watermark of three stars within a shield and surmounted by a crown, with countermark "VG", original ties, ownership inscription to upper wrapper ("Possessor est Petrus Cavallo"), number in red ink to upper right-hand corner of upper wrapper ("142"), and numeral in red ink above title on upper wrapper ("III"), ownership stamps to upper wrapper and to the parts ("PC"), no place or date [possibly Munich, 1778, or later], browning to wrapper
