Catalogue Note
Rare. The premiere of Rameau's great opéra-ballet, including the prologue and first two entrées, took place at the Paris Opéra on 23 August 1735, a third entrée being performed five days later. At the revival on 10 March 1736, a fourth entrée was added, the famous "Les sauvages".
