Chancery folio (285 x 200mm.), 537 leaves (of 538, without initial blank), a-y10 A-T10 U12 X-Y10 1-810 9-108, double column, 47 and 54 lines plus headline, gothic type, two 12-and 18-line initials with foliate decoration in gold and other colours with marginal extensions, 3- to 7-line initials in red with printed guides (some in green towards end), red paraphs and initial-strokes, seventeenth-century German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, two clasps, red edges, morocco lettering-piece, some early annotations in German hands, occasional dampstaining and foxing, a few inkstains, some headlines cut close or cropped, U10 torn without loss but affecting text, U12 torn at foot
