Chancery folio (297 x 207mm.), 256 leaves, a8 b-x6 y8 z6 A-T6, double column, 63 lines of commentary plus headline, gothic type, 2- to 9-line initials in blue and red, modern calf in period style, title-page slightly soiled and repaired at fore-edge, b1 and H3 repaired at fore-edge, repaired tear on K3, last leaf repaired with slight loss and laid down, joints starting to crack

Samuel Rickards (1796-1865) was parson of St George, Stowlangtoft (Suffolk), for about forty years and was a friend of John Henry Newman before he converted to Catholicism.

Kilian Fischer was the first printer in Freiburg im Breisgau, where he worked from about 1491 until moving to Basel by 1497, where he continued to print.
