Catalogue Note
Editio princeps of Valerius Maximus's compendium of moral anecdotes from history, produced by the first printer in Strassburg. The wide margins of this attractive tall copy have been extensively filled with neat early annotations. The text on 14/2r is in the correct setting (see Bühler, Gutenberg Jahrbuch, 1963, pp.41-44).
