Condition
Original canvas.
There is some very fine paint separation to the girl's black hair, and some small spots of lifting paint by the centre of the right edge. There are further tiny flecks of lifting with resultant loss including to the centre of the top edge, and two further specks in the upper left quadrant and a fleck to the girl's arm. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
Housed in an ornate carved wooden painted frame, which has areas of paintloss.
