There are areas of reticulation throughout, most noticeably to the black pigment far left, in keeping with the nature of the artist's techniques and materials, with further isolated areas of fine craquelure, most prominent to the thicker areas of white impasto in the top half of the composition. There is a fine stretcher bar mark visible along the bottom edge.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence and retouchings along the extreme edge, possibly in line with a previous framing.
Housed in a thin, tight metal strip frame, floated within a large wooden box frame with a cream surround, behind glass. Unexamined out of frame.
