Condition

This work is in very good and sound condition overall. The electrical components are in good working order. There is evidence of wear and handling to the sides and edges of the metal stand. The plastic conduit receiving the electrical cord on the stand and on the upper light construction is slightly cracked, but not critical to the electrical components or the structure of the work.

Catalogue Note

"The potency and emotional resonance of Eliasson’s work is due in part to how far removed, how disturbingly alien his pieces are with respect to the familiar, expected patterns of everyday experience, even when his work is situated fully within mundane environments." J. Crary (Light Art: Targetti Light Art Collection, Milan, 2005, p. 70)
