Catalogue Note

Norman Parkinson was one of the best known British portrait and fashion photographers, credited for his highly influential injection of an easy elegance into his portraits, against the formality of his day. His photographs of celebrities, artists, actors and the British Royal Family have become icons of twentieth century style.
