Condition: Colour is a fairly accurate colour match. In reality the red ground and red trellis are not as orange in hue, but more red. Abrash visible in the red ground. Pile is 2/3mm and down to the knot bars in areas, especially to areas of the red ground. Some minor stringing in areas. There is a repiled section in the border at one end (centre of lower border in the printed/on-line image), and small reweaves in minor areas, for example to an area of the cross-hatched design around the central medalion. There is surface dark dirt marks visible in one spandrel (upper left in printe/-on-line image) The ends have losses to the fringes, and are irregular across the width. The overcast sides with barber pole design, have some sections which have been reovercast. Attractive piece, with attractive drawing and decorative ivory ground spandrels. Good size and balanced design, and good colour balance.
