Condition

Original canvas. The paint surface is dirty. There is an area of paint loss approximately 2cm in length below the paddle in the right of the picture and the paint surface is flaking to the left of this damaged area, and needs to be stabilised. There are further small flecks of paint loss lower left and to the right of the woman's head. There are fine lines of craquelure to the lower right corner and in places elsewhere.UV light reveals some very minor areas of retouching to the upper left edge and in places elsewhere. Held in a wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
