Condition

The prepared paper has been laid onto canvas. There are faint creases in each corner and another by the centre of left edge, only visible upon close inspection. The surface is dirty and should benefit from a light clean, otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. UV light reveals scattered flecks of retouchings, particularly to the background. Held in a gilt plaster frame.
