Condition

The sheet appears to be sound and is laid down, presumably by the artist as it is signed on the backing paper and there are areas of bodycolour which overlap the sheet. The lower right corner is lifting very slightly and there are a few minor spots of foxing in the sky upper right. A tiny pin hole by dog's mouth, only visible upon close inspection; otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. Held under glass in a gilt plaster frame with a dark blue and gilt mount; unexamined out of frame.
