Condition

BERNARD ON RUNNER The panel is sound. The varnish is uneven and there are some light surface scratches and spots of staining. The surface is dirty and should benefit well from cleaning. UV light reveals no signs of retouching. Held in simple gilt wood frame. TWO BERNARDS The board is slightly bowed. There are a few small pin size holes and resultant losses of paint to the top of each dog's head. Some other light surface scratches and spots of staining; the work should benefit well from cleaning. UV light reveals no signs of retouching. Held in a simple gilt wood frame.
