Condition

I) The work has been executed on prepared paper and laid onto canvas. There are some small, faint areas of bitumen and craquelure to the darker pigments on the dogs; only visible upon close inspection. The surface appears dirty and should benefit from a light clean. UV light reveals areas of retouching to the above mentioned areas of creasing. Also further areas scattered through the background of the work. The surface is dirty with dark spots of staining and should benefit from a clean.
