Condition

Colours in reality are not as dark as in the catalogue photograph. For example the red ground and lime green detailing is livelier and more vibrant. Compressed 3/4mm pile generally. There is a professionally rewoven rectangular section (105cm. long, by 48cm. deep) in the border, visible in the lower left corner of the printed/on-line image, which is of a slightly different colouration. It is possibly from a previous cut for a fire-place. There is also repiling to the top right corner, visible in the photograph/on-line image, which is `L-shaped (approx. 28cm. by 22cm.). There are areas of brighter red repling to the red ground of main field, visible in the photograph/on-line image - centre of the far right side. Some minor isolated areas of wear down to the green foundation, and to the knot-bars, in the main field and into green of narrow border. Some areas of side cords loose, and small nicks in places. Bright and cheerful carpet, with a balanced and elegant design, and of a good size.
